The Boston Public Health Commission has approved proposed rules that would restrict the sale and use of e-cigarettes.
The proposed rules would ban the use of e-cigarettes in the workplace, including in restaurants. They would also require e-cigarette retailers to obtain a permit and prohibit the sale of e-cigarettes to minors. The regulations would also require e-cigarettes be placed behind the store counter.
After a public hearing period, the commission will vote on November 10th whether to make the proposed rules final.
